Auditing and consulting in rock blasting projects and operations, with staff and partners with experience in both underground blasting and open surface, problems and optimization opportunities are identified from the fire plan to the detonation.

We evaluated several parameters, marking and alignment, emboque, mesh executed, hole depth and plug and gas retention efficiency, initiation and relief sequence, repé, back-break, over-break, ANFO efficiency, emulsion or blends , primer and booster efficiency, water - explosive ratio, spread of pyrotechnic delays, quality of explosives and primers and VoD.

OPTIMIZATION OF ROCK 

Also known as mine-to-mill or mine-to-crusher, it consists of a complete analysis of the entire comminution process, from drilling, fire plan and all subsequent processes, such as loading, transportation, crushing and grinding, to to better use energy and lower the overall cost of production.

We carry out mapping aiming at continuous improvement, identification of production bottlenecks; Toyota Production System (Lean Production / Just-in-Time (JIT); Theory of Constraints (Theory of Constraints - TOC), Value Stream Mapping (MFV); Workplace Management (GPT), for calculating the operational efficiency.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL

Effective measures to control vibration, noise and flyrock in rock blasting, especially in situations close to communities, following the Brazilian standard NBR 9653:2018 and ISEE international recommendations.

GEOMECHANICAL REPORTS AND GEOTECHNICS

Geomechanical excavation reports, carrying out the characterization of the rock mass, stability studies of underground and surface excavations, geomechanical mapping, classification according to the RMR, GSI, Q systems. In addition, we also offer determination of the mass strength parameters, model development geomechanics, granulometric curve for the distribution of blocks in situ and electronic monitoring of movement of cracks in concrete and rock.

EXPLOSIVE FORMULATIONS

Audit of explosive formulations for explosive factories and end users, in addition to feasibility analysis on the implantation of explosive plants.

EXPLOSIVE PLANTS AND TRUCKS

Design and assembly of industrial plants of ANFO, emulsion pumped and / or cartoned and Blends. We also work with the design and assembly of trucks for the application of explosives (Mobile Pumping Unit - UMB).

VIBRATION ATTENUATION EQUATION

From seismic monitoring, Nitro builds a specific equation explaining the vibration attenuation over the distance, thus predicting the ideal amount of explosives, or maximum load per wait, respecting local limits and international recommendations.

SEISMOGRAPHIC MONITORING

Monitoring of ground vibration and noise levels (acoustic pressure) following the Brazilian standard NBR 9653:2018 and ISEE international recommendations. The use of state-of-the-art digital seismographs allows measurements for any type of vibration, both from detonations with explosives in tunnels, mines and quarries, as well as in vehicle traffic, excavations, etc. Only a company with know-how and without ties to manufacturers and distributors of explosives can generate legally valid reports in inspection, environmental and municipal bodies.

DRILLING PROFILE

Evaluation of the straightness of the drilling, identifying possible hole deviations and offering better support to reduce or compensate for these deviations. It is also possible to determine the ideal bore depth for each drill and rock, as well as the height of real water.

3D MODELING BY PHOTOGRAPHY

Bench / face modeling by 3-dimensional photogrammetry. The advantage of using photogrammetry is the possibility of visualizing structures and discontinuities in conjunction with the 3D model. The blaster receives a report before loading the holes, with areas where there are problems in the distribution of explosives (possible ultra launch, repé ...), and thus can make changes in the loading, avoiding unnecessary risks.

FRAGMENTATION ANALYSIS

Assessment of fragments or blocks of rock at the site after disassembly by 2D or 3D photogrammetry, estimating their granulometric distribution, D50, D80 and other parameters. From this estimate, it is possible to assess the quality of fragmentation.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING

Filming and photography techniques for evaluating the parameters used in the fire plane, such as: spacing, burden, buffer, initiation sequence, etc.

BOREHOLE CAMERA

Special camera that allows entry into the holes to assess the quality of a rock mass, its lithology, porosity, water, fracture, etc.

DRONES (UAV)

Obtaining aerial images and footage with high sharpness and Full HD quality, through drones certified by Anatel. The applications are unlimited, for example: images of detonations from various angles, institutional videos, safe access in areas of risk and display in real time.

VOD

Measurement of the quality of explosives formulations and optimal initiation by detonation speed (VoD), checking if the explosive is detonating or exploding.

CRACKMETER

Equipment that monitors in real time the variation of micro cracks (cracks) in the plaster or structural in buildings that are under the influence of vibrations caused by detonations or not, helping to identify the real cause of the appearance and propagation of these cracks, such as temperature variation , moisture or construction defects.

LATE SPREADING

Measurement of the real burning time of the delay fuses, both shock tube (nonel - non-electric) and detonating cord, among others. Based on this information, simultaneous initiation of holes is avoided, that is, problems of vibration and fragmentation.
